A meeting is wrong, missing, or has moved

The app doesn't hold the meeting list. It reads the BMLT aggregator, and each NA area and region publishes and corrects its own meetings there.

So a wrong time, a closed group or a missing meeting gets fixed by your local area or region, not here. Contact their web servant or area service committee. Once they update it, the app shows the change on the next search. I have no way to edit anyone's meeting list.

The app itself is broken

Crashes, a screen that won't load, a filter hiding the wrong thing, anything that looks like a bug in the app rather than the data: email app@nameetingsnearme.app.

What helps: which screen, what you expected, what happened instead, and roughly where you were searching.

Common questions

It can't find my location

Location permission is off, or the device couldn't get a fix. Turn it on for the app in your system settings, or tap the search field and enter a town. Everything works the same from a searched place.

The map is blank

The map needs a connection and a working Google Maps key. Every other screen still works without it.

Meetings are showing a long way away

The app asks for the nearest meetings rather than everything within a set radius, so in a rural area the nearest ones can be far. Open the search field and set a distance to cap it. The list will tell you if the cap is hiding everything.

Is my clean date sent anywhere?

No. It's stored on your device and nowhere else. See the privacy policy.

Does it work offline?

Partly. Your last set of results is kept on the device and shown with a note about how old it is. Searching a new place needs a connection.

This is a meeting directory, not a crisis service. If you're in danger or in a medical emergency, call your local emergency number. To talk to someone in NA, a meeting is the surest way, and many areas run a phoneline listed on their own website.
